The Role

As the Medical Copywriter, you’ll be central to delivering high‑quality medical and scientific content for pharmaceutical clients across Australia. You’ll work across HCP campaigns, educational materials, digital assets, and medico‑marketing communications, always with scientific rigour and regulatory compliance at the core.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop HCP campaign materials including websites, detail aids, leave‑behinds, and email content
  • Create educational assets such as slide decks, workshop materials, event invitations, and training modules
  • Produce content across print, digital, and audio‑visual formats
  • Adapt and customise content for HCPs, patients, and regulatory audiences
  • Originate new copy for local launches or adapt global materials
  • Build content outlines, storylines, and campaign‑aligned messaging
  • Collaborate closely with clients, studio teams, and internal stakeholders
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery on time and within scope
  • Uphold scientific accuracy and compliance with industry guidelines (e.g., Medicines Australia Code of Conduct)
  • Navigate MLR approval processes and manage submissions through Veeva Vault PromoMats

You’ll bring:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a medical writer within a pharmaceutical advertising or healthcare communications agency
  • Strong background in medico‑marketing and HCP‑focused content
  • Expert working knowledge of Veeva Vault PromoMats
  • Ability to translate complex medical information into clear, engaging copy
  • Familiarity with therapeutic areas such as oncology, immunology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, neuroscience, haematology, or PAH
  • A collaborative mindset and confidence managing projects independently
