About the Role
As the Media Account Director, you’ll be the strategic lead across a portfolio of key clients. You’ll guide the development of media strategies, oversee planning and implementation, and ensure campaigns deliver measurable business outcomes. You’ll work closely with internal specialists across digital, performance, strategy, and creative to bring integrated solutions to life.
You’ll also be the trusted advisor to your clients, someone who can translate business problems into media opportunities, challenge thinking, and elevate the quality of work delivered.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end media strategy, planning, and execution across all channels.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
- Oversee campaign performance, optimisation, reporting, and insights.
- Manage and mentor a team of planners and executives, fostering growth and capability.
- Partner with strategy, digital, and creative teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Ensure all work is delivered on time, on budget, and aligned to client objectives.
- Drive innovation by identifying new opportunities, platforms, and approaches.
- Manage forecasting, financials, and commercial performance across your client portfolio.
- Represent the agency in client meetings, presentations, and industry conversations.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years’ experience in media planning/buying, with at least 2 years at a senior level.
- Strong understanding of media channels — digital, performance, offline, and emerging platforms.
- Proven experience leading client relationships and managing complex accounts.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Confident presenter with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing and developing high‑performing teams.
- Commercial acumen and the ability to manage budgets, forecasting, and revenue.
- A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset and a genuine passion for media.
